Our Mission
As messianic believers grafted into the Jewish tree we honour and worship Adonai Elohim – Lord God – and live to introduce people to Him, train disciples and bring shalom.
Our Vision
We see a vibrant growing community of messianic disciples:
- Passionate for Adonai Elohim – Lord God
- In right relationship with others
- Caring for community and creation
- Awaiting Yeshua, Jesus our Messiah’s, return
- Supporting Israel
Our Ways
We are a Messianic congregation who believe in one true eternal God – Adonai Elohim (Lord God) – the creator and ruler of all things, who exists in complex unity (one, but more than one), in three expressions – Abba (God the Father), Yeshua (God the Son) and Ruach Hakodesh (God the Holy Spirit). (B’resheet – Genesis 1:26, John 1:1, 10:30)
We maintain a Hebraic expression of our faith as Jews and Gentiles grafted into the Jewish Olive tree (Romans 11). Equally, we respect and honour diversity in expression within the body of all Messianic and Christian believers.
We exist to worship and praise Adonai Elohim (Lord God), follow His ways (D’varim – Deuteronomy 6:4– 7, 10:12,13, 30:19,20), and for His commission (Mattityahu – Matthew 28:19, 20) to make disciples of Yeshua HaMaschiach (Jesus the Messiah).
– Romans 1:16-17 – ‘to the Jew first and also to the Greek’
– Acts 1:8 ‘…my witnesses both in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) and in all Y’hudah (Judea) and Samaria (Shomron) even to the uttermost parts of the earth (New Zealand)’.
We live according to the Torah (Bible) – Holy Scriptures comprising Tanakh – Original Covenants (OT) and B’rit Hadashah – New Covenant (NT) – being inspired by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) as God’s instructions written on our hearts. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Yirmeyahu – Jeremiah 31:33, Matthew 22:37, Romans 2:15, Messianic Jews – Hebrews 10:16)
We uphold the two most important mitzvah (commandments given by Adonai Elohim.)
Firstly, ‘Sh’ma Yisra’el Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad (Hear, Israel Adonai our God, Adonai is one); and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources…’ (D’varim 6:4,5) and secondly ‘You are to love your neighbour as yourself’. (Mark 12:29 – 31, 1John 2:7)
We pray with confidence and assurance knowing that God hears and answers when we follow King David and Yeshua’s example of praying in keeping with Gods will. (Tehillim – Psalms 25, Matthew 6:9-13)
We honour Shabbat – Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) – the seventh day, as Adonai Elohim (God’s) day of rest which He blessed and sanctified (made Holy). (Bereshit 2:3, Devarim 5:14). We follow Yeshua’s example and practice as ‘the Lord of Shabbat (Sabbath).’
We celebrate the seven Biblical festivals of Vayikra (Leviticus 23) as appointments with our God as well as Purim and Hanukkah, festivals that praise Adonai Elohim (Lord God) and were celebrated by Yeshua.
We support Yisra’el (Israel) as a nation with whom Adonai Elohim (Lord God) made an everlasting covenant and will regularly pray for the peaceful restoration of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), (Psalms 122), through the return of Yeshua to His Land as reigning King of all the earth. (Revelations 20)
We enjoy Kingdom living and look forward to Yeshua’s return and being with Him forever. ‘Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well’ (Matthew 6:33) ‘I will return to take you with Me…’ – (John 14:3)
